Dog Groomer | Leadership Growth Opportunities

Love dogs? Take pride in helping them look and feel their best? Ready to grow into a leadership role? We want to meet you!

At Scenthound, we're passionate about improving the health and wellness of dogs through routine hygiene care. We're looking for a skilled, patient, and compassionate Dog Groomer who takes pride in their work and wants to make a difference in the lives of dogs and their families. At Scenthound, grooming is about more than appearance. We focus on health, hygiene, comfort, and manageable coats that make it easier for dog parents to maintain their pups between appointments. This is more than a grooming position! You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills, contribute to a supportive team, and grow into additional responsibilities as you gain experience. For the right person, this can be a stepping stone toward becoming a Lead Groomer or advancing into management. If you're a motivated groomer who loves dogs, values teamwork, and wants to build a future with a growing company, we'd love to have you join our pack! Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive Pay: Hourly base pay, plus tips.
  • Career Advancement: Opportunities to develop leadership skills and advance into Lead Groomer, Assistant Manager, Manager, and other leadership positions as opportunities become available.
  • Free Membership: Complimentary Scenthound service membership for your pup!
  • Professional Growth: Build your grooming expertise while learning how to support, mentor, and develop fellow team members.
  • Make a Difference: Help dogs stay clean, comfortable, and healthy while making coat maintenance easier for their families.

About the Position As a Dog Groomer at Scenthound, you'll provide consistent, quality grooming services centered on each dog's hygiene, comfort, and overall well-being. Our grooming approach prioritizes practical, easy-to-maintain coats rather than breed-specific styling. You'll help dogs look neat and feel comfortable while making it easier for their parents to care for their coats between visits. You'll work closely with bathers, fellow groomers, and management to create a positive customer experience and keep daily operations running smoothly.

We're especially excited to meet groomers who want to grow beyond their current role.

As you demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and leadership potential, you'll have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, help train teammates, and work toward future leadership positions.

What You'll Need

  • At least one year of dog grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school.
  • Knowledge of coat types, safe grooming techniques, proper coat maintenance, and the tools of the trade.
  • The ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment.

Who We're Looking For We're looking for a groomer who combines technical skill with patience, compassion, accountability, and a desire to keep learning. Our ideal team member is:

  • Skilled & Detail-Oriented: You take pride in delivering clean, consistent results that meet our grooming standards.
  • Health & Hygiene Focused: You understand the importance of maintaining a clean, comfortable coat that is practical for everyday care.
  • Patient & Compassionate: You recognize that every dog has a unique personality and comfort level, and you prioritize their safety and well-being.
  • A Team Player: You communicate openly, support your coworkers, and help create a positive work environment.
  • A Problem Solver: You adapt to each dog's needs and know when to ask for help.
  • Accountable: You take ownership of your work, accept feedback, and hold yourself to high standards.
  • A Natural Leader: You lead by example, take initiative, and enjoy helping others improve.
  • Growth-Minded: You're interested in developing new skills and taking on more responsibility as you advance.
