Surgical Assistant

Join a dynamic team in an 8-room operating suite at a level 3 trauma center, providing critical surgical support across multiple service lines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across various specialties, including general surgery, genitourinary, vascular, orthopedic (MAKO), gynecology, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), and plastic surgery.
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other surgical team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in the operating room.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations, maintaining a sterile environment at all times.
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, contributing to overall patient safety and comfort.
• Provide assistance during surgical procedures, including retraction, suctioning, and instrument handling.
• Be available for on-call requirements as needed to support surgical operations.

Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Experience in a surgical assistant role preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with a diverse healthcare team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
