Purpose of the Activity: To prepare students for competitions and performances. Develop lesson plans and training sessions to enhance students' speech skills. Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their performance.

Qualifications for the Job:

• Connection to a high school community
• Communicate with high school students
• Be supportive to high school students
• Education degree and/or counseling
• Previous speech coaching experience preferred.

Immediate Supervisor: Activities Director/Principal

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Planning and leading practice sessions
• Creating strategies to prepare/lead students for competitions
• Provide feedback and coaching at practices/competitions
• Follow District #834 Code of Ethics for Advisors.

Length of Activity: Weeks: 18 (7.5 hours per week) After School – As assigned by the head speech coach Public Scheduled competitions

Salary (Points): Co-Curricular coaching contract
