Requirements And Intake Analyst

Savvee Inc. is seeking a detailed Requirements and Intake Analyst to support our federal client onsite in Ashburn, VA. This position will support requirements analysis, intake reviews, stakeholder follow-up, work routing, and backlog management. The analyst will help transform incoming requests into clear problem statements and traceable requirements that can be evaluated, prioritized, and handed to the correct execution lane. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively with Government stakeholders, program leadership, functional leads, contractor personnel, and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-moving, mission-focused environment.

Essential Functions

• Capturing incoming requests in standardized intake records with unique identifiers and completing requestor, sponsor, need, outcome, urgency, constraints, and dependency information.

• Conducting stakeholder interviews and follow-up questioning to clarify problem statements, user needs, timing, security, funding, and solution expectations.

• Separating the underlying business need from a prematurely selected solution and documenting alternatives or solution paths.

• Performing preliminary analysis of strategic alignment, feasibility, resources, dependencies, solution fit, and acquisition considerations.

• Maintaining intake records, backlog status, aging, decisions, change history, and traceability to downstream governance, acquisition, or delivery actions.

• Preparing concise review materials and supporting prioritization, disposition, and controlled handoffs.

• Identifying recurring information gaps, rework, or bottlenecks and recommending improvements to forms, templates, guidance, or workflows.

• Performing additional duties as assigned in support of evolving contract requirements and client needs.

• Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.

• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.

Required Education and Training

• Bachelor's degree

Minimum Experience and Skills Required

• Three or more years of business analysis, requirements analysis, intake management, process analysis, or comparable experience.

• Experience eliciting, documenting, validating, tracing, and communicating business or system requirements.

• Experience with stakeholder interviews, process mapping, backlog management, intake forms, and controlled handoffs.

• Strong analytical writing, facilitation, organization, and attention to detail.

• Must have the ability to obtain the client's Public Trust clearance.

Desired but Not Required Qualifications

• Federal, DHS, CBP, Agile, acquisition, service-delivery, or portfolio-intake experience.

• Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, BPMN, user stories, acceptance criteria, or requirements-traceability tools.

• Proven familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and responsible use of AI-assisted tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Exceptional organization skills.

• A highly motivated self-starter.

• Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills.
